The goal of our men’s ministry at Westview is to affirm the role of men in a Christian context and provide the means of encouraging, equipping and edifying the men at Westview Baptist in their roles as followers of Jesus Christ. We hope to expand our horizons beyond ourselves and deepen our relationships with other men by participating more actively in national men’s conferences and activities such as Promise Keepers (etc.) to be able to address the cultural shifts that impact our role as husbands, fathers and sons. We hope to achieve our fellowship goals by hosting social events with guest speakers, community events such as the Stampede bar-b-ques and missional outreach activities by participating in construction projects at GLBC and Mexico.
Men’s Breakfast - Saturday, September 25
WBC Men’s ministry is sponsoring a Men’s Breakfast Saturday September 25th at 8:00 am in the WBC Fireside Room. The Middle East is a topic of great interest to many people and most especially with the current political turmoil and the planned resumption of Israeli-Palestinian peace talks. Dayle will be speaking on his trip to Lebanon and the religious, political, social and economic climate of Lebanon as it is at the heart of the Arab/Israeli problem of the Middle East. It will be a great presentation and one that is current, relevant and of great interest to all men.
