The goal of our men’s ministry at Westview is to affirm the role of men in a Christian context and provide the means of encouraging, equipping and edifying the men at Westview Baptist in their roles as followers of Jesus Christ. We hope to expand our horizons beyond ourselves and deepen our relationships with other men by participating more actively in national men’s conferences and activities such as Promise Keepers (etc.) to be able to address the cultural shifts that impact our role as husbands, fathers and sons. We hope to achieve our fellowship goals by hosting social events with guest speakers, community events such as the Stampede bar-b-ques and missional outreach activities by participating in construction projects at GLBC and Mexico.
Men & Boys Floor Hockey Friday, April 27, 2012
WBC’s Men’s ministry is hosting a men’s and boy’s floor hockey evening on Friday, April 27th from 6:30 pm. to 8:00 pm. The evening is for all boys from age 6 to 12 (or grades 1 to 6). Our goal is to have fun in the company of male role models and create a regular fellowship whereby boys can come together with adult men and learn team work, character building, leadership and Christian values. We are encouraging all of our boys and Westview men to come out and play floor hockey together.
