Small Groups at Westview provide a place of belonging, of spiritual growth and of opportunity to reach out in service to WBC and to the community. Belonging to a small group enables participants to experience acceptance, unconditional love and friendship/fellowship in community with others on a similar journey. In growing spiritually, we practice the presence of Jesus in our groups and in our lives, studying the Bible and other thematic topics and continue praying for each other. In reaching out to the church and to the community, we also experience being care givers and practice servant hood to others around us. Our goal, for the upcoming year, is to both increase the number of small groups and the number of those who participate.
Starting in January, 2010 WBC’s Small Group ministry will be encouraging each of our Small Groups to join in a church wide program of studying “The Lord’s Prayer”. Our Small Groups will be provided with study/discussion material for the series that will align with Dayle’s preaching topics each week. New small groups will be starting up!! If you are not in one and would like to be in one please speak with Pastor Jim.
