Operation Christmas Child is a hands-on way for Canadians to bless children in the developing world by filling shoeboxes with toys, hygiene items, school supplies, and other items. We collect the boxes and distribute them in the name of Jesus Christ to children living in desperate situations.

Operation Christmas Child equips local churches and ministry partners to teach kids about Jesus and the Bible. Through this teaching ministry, more than 1.8 million children a year are committing their lives to Christ. The course also equips and encourages children to share their faith with family and friends, so even more people can have a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

We want to thank everyone who participated in the Shoebox initiative in 2019. Along with the pre-school and the other churches at Westview, we were able to support the project with 219 shoeboxes.

  • Westview = 155 shoeboxes
  • Rise & Shine Pre-School = 14
  • Crossover Japanese Church = 10
  • Hope Christian Church = 40

Westview participated in the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Campaign in 2018.

  • Westview Baptist Church - 96 shoeboxes
  • Hope Christian Arabic Church - 38

Each box is a Gospel opportunity and every love filled box can impact the life of not only the child, but their family and community.
