At Westview, we value dynamic worship of God. We believe that one of our greatest privileges and responsibilities is to come and worship together. Our service is a blended style of traditional and contemporary music in a casual atmosphere.

Easter Events

Holy Week - April 14 - 17, from 9 – 9:30 PM
Each year from Monday to Thursday between Palm Sunday and Good Friday, we gather for Holy Week evenings of reflection.  On each to these nights we gather at 9:00 pm in quiet and candlelight to reflectively prepare our hearts for Good Friday and Easter.  This year we will be thinking through the four watches of that Thursday night and Good Friday.  In Roman reckoning, the night was divided into four 3 hour watches and each evening we will relive one watch using a symbolic element from that part of night.  We will start with the three robes that Jesus wore that night, then think about two gardens, two fires, and two crowns.

Good Friday - April 18, service at 10:30 AM
We will gather together by candlelight at 10:30 am, as we reflect on the suffering and crucifixion of Christ.  Seating will be in-the-round, as we surround the communion table.

Easter Sunday - April 20 , Brunch at 9:30 am, Service at 10:30 am
We begin our celebration of the Risen Lord together with a pre-service potluck brunch!  Come and share breakfast with us at 9:30 am!  Service begins at 10:30!  We are asking everyone to contribute.  Please bring your food items to the Fireside Room by 9:30 am.  Coffee, tea and juice will be provided.
- A to M Cheese plates with muffins, or croissants or hot cross buns.
- N to Z Fruit platters (sliced for individual servings)
No nuts please as we consider the safety of those with allergies.

Stewardship Campaign 2014

Finishing Strong - Imagine What God will do...

It is time to plan our next journey with God.  We need to move forward with paying off the building and make room financially for the expanded ministries that God has for Westview Baptist Church.

This campaign will span the next three years (April 2014 - March 2017)  with a goal of raising $1.43 million.  Of this amount, $1.3 million will go to pay off the principal on the debt and our tithe portion of $130,000 will go one third each to local and international ministries supported by Westview with the final third going toward a possible NW Calgary church plant.
