The pastor works closely with the Elders Board (pastoral focus) and works with and is accountable to the Church Board and the HR team, and ultimately, to the congregation. The full job posting is found below.
The Children and Family Pastor is the spiritual shepherd to children (0-12 years old) and their families in the church and in the local community. They will be responsible for envisioning and leading the processes for planning, coordinating and delivering learning opportunities for children and their families, with the goal of bringing them into a closer relationship with Jesus. The Children and Family Pastor acts as a supportive coach and mentor to volunteers. The Children and Family Pastor works closely with the Youth Pastor to provide a transition for children into youth ministry, and to provide leadership opportunities for teens at the church. The Children and Family Pastor works as part of a staff team to carry out the goals of the Church. The Children and Family Pastor reports to the Senior Pastor.
